Should I do Ballet?

 ballet
I’m 13 and I’ve been thinking about taking ballet lessons…I’ve never done it before and I have no experience in dance at all! But i want to try something new and I’m flexible and can keep my balance. Ballet seems very elegant but I’m sure it’s difficult! My violin teacher who is 20 takes ballet and she’s one of my favorite people in this world! Also my brother’s girlfriend takes ballet and so does one of my best friends…should I try it? I don’t know if it’s too late because lots of people started ballet when they were really little! Also, about how much money would these lessons be? Please tell me a little bit about ballet if you do it. Do you like it? I don’t know if it would be too hard for me or there are bad things about ballet. Please give me some info and suggestions! Thanks! ♥

The same time because it prevents you from being restricted to one form of class like it but reccomend taking dance since was but lot of class like modern or jazz at the same time because it prevents you from being restricted to one form.

    hello.
ballet is an amazing dance to do. i’ve been doing it since i was 3 and i’ve been on pointe since i was 8. I’m a freshman in Highschool but have gotten a scholarship already to go to Julliard in New York for pointe and violin. so yeah..i love it..

    but to answer you question…

if you are fleixible that is very good. you need to be. You want to work on building your ankle strengh too. It’s never to late to start dancing. You just have to love it. But the cost matters about what company you join and how long the class will be. the materials you need…like…leotards, shoes, skirts gets kinda expensive.

ballet you must be very smooth and not a very slouchy person. Since you play violin, you’re use to classical music…which it good.

just dont be discouraged when you see people your age doing more difficult things. think in your head that you do this for fun and anything is possible. one day you will be at that level if you stick with it.

    hope i helped! [ :

I dont dance…not good at it, but like you i also wanted to try something new, so i did. I found out i have a really good singing voice this summer and i have beat out people at talent shows that have been singing for years….Go For It! Age and experience didn’t matter to me, who knows you might be a fast learner and get good at it, i am. So go for it, besides you got nothing to lose. BTW im 17, and started singing in July, the kid i beat out was 19 and has been singing since he was 5! :)

yess i think you should try it if u think its cool, because ballet can also make you good at many other things while you get good at ballet…for instance ballet could make you better at the following things:
    dancing cheerleading skateboarding surfing
gymnastics having balance football (if u’d wanna play lol)

but just being in ballet could make you good at those and many other things…
    hope that helps =)

definitely! you can find a teen beginning ballet class somewhere in your city (if it’s a nice sized one) for not too much money. you may want to just make sure you’re doing it because you really want to though, and not just because you admire other people that do it. you need to find something you love to do, and go for it- no matter what it is or how old or young you are! try ballet out, and if that doesn’t do it for you, try other dance classes. i didn’t start dancing until i was 15! it’s never too late. if you are interested in any dance though, ballet is the like the base that all other dancing styles come from, so it’s really good to have some training in it!

Just make sure you’ll have fun. That’s easy to lose track of because of all the discipline. Now I just take modern dance or flamenco and they’re a lot of fun. They take discipline, too but it’s fun to do something new. Just do what makes you happy. If you do a little ballet, your body will be prepared to take on different dance types later, too.

I’m also 13 and i have been doing it for a couple of years but i don’t think its ever to late to start ballet. It can get hard but its so fun and teaches you other things too! And I can’t say much about the coast because i would guess it just depends on where you take lessons. I hope that this helps!!

    Good luck!!!!!
